Scalloped Oysters
Ingredients:
- 1 pint oysters
- 2 cups crushed saltine crackers
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1 cup cream
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Drain the oysters and save 1/2 cup of the juice. In a mixing bowl, combine the butter, Parmesan cheese and cracker crumbs. In another mixing bowl, combine the oysterjuice, salt, pepper, cream and Worcestershire sauce. In a baking dish put a layer of the cracker crumb mixture on the bottom and place half the oysters on top. Repeat the crumb and oyster layer and then top the casserole with the cream sauce. Place the pan into the oven for 35-50 minutes.
Bacon Stuffed Oysters
Ingredients:
- 12 oysters
- 4 slices bacon chopped
- 2 cups buttery crackers
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 tsp milk
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a bowl, mix bacon, crushed buttery crackers and garlic. Spoon bacon mixture over each oyster and place into baking dish. Pour milk to coat bottom and add salt and pepper to taste. Bake in oven 10-15 minutes.
